Patient 1a Earlobe Repair Before and After

This young woman had an elongated earring hole due to wearing heavy earrings. It even caused a protrusion in her earlobe, which gave it a slightly unnatural look. I performed a Z-plasty, which is a well-placed incision within the earring hole, to close it so that the visible incision is very minimal. Most plastic surgeons just excise the earring hole, which shows very little difference in the before and after, but as you can see here normal skin is recruited for a better outcome and look.
