Dr. Nima’s Approach To Earlobe Reduction
As part of your consultation at our Beverly Hills office, Dr. Nima will personally do a physical exam to assess your earlobes and the proper proportions for any reduction. In addition to taking “before” photos, Dr. Nima can draw your new earlobe so there are no “surprises.” The best part? We can even perform the procedure the same day. Of course, we can also schedule the procedure for a future date if that is more convenient for you!
Dr. Nima carefully marks the earlobes before beginning the procedure and then administers a local anesthetic to numb the area. The excess portions of the lobes are efficiently and strategically removed, and the skin is sutured together. We only use clear stitches to minimize the appearance of the incision while you heal. An antibiotic ointment is placed over the wound to keep it moist. There is virtually no pain associated with the procedure. For any minor discomfort during recovery, Tylenol is all you need. Your stitches are removed after about a week, and once fully-healed, only a very fine line, well hidden in the natural curvature of your ear, will remain.
This is really such a simple and easy procedure that there is very little care that you need to take after the first week. Once the sutures are removed, you can return to your normal daily routines and see us as needed!
